Syrah, Grenache, old vine Carignan

AOC Minervois

Matured for 8 months in large old barrels. Dark garnet, black fruit, cassis, nougat and mocha. Spicy palate but soft mouth feel. Intense nose of ripe fruit (blackcurrant, black cherry and raspberry) A well-rounded mouthfeel with fresh, young flavors that make it easily accessible to all palates. Finishes with a lot of fruit freshness.

Chateau d’Agel is based in the Minervois wine region of Languedoc, Southern France and a short drive from Carcassonne. Dates back to early-Roman times, hot dry summer days with old vines planted in thin stony soils. Rustic Carignan with juicy Grenache and sturdy spicy Syrah – but with more finesse than the nearby Corbieres wines.
