100% Pinot Noir
Our 'Egg' Pinot Noir was grown in Martinborough, 100% Clone 5 it was picked in the late afternoon, hand destemmed and fermented and aged in 250l egg-shaped fermenters with 180 days maceration before being pressed and kept in tank for three months and bottled in early summer. The wine is a dark, savoury quintessentially Martinborough Pinot with grip and funk.
Te Aro Wine is an urban winery in the heart of Wellington making wines from local fruit. Te Aro Wine was established in early 2018 with a mission of creating “fun wine, not fine wine” by Robin Groves and Jules van Costello. Working with vineyards in Hawkes Bay and Martinborough, Te Aro Wine has created a range of wines from the 2018 vintage including Sauvignon Blanc, sparkling, Pinot Noir and Rose offerings.
