'Tastes Like' is a range of classic kiwi styles we blend but are bottled for us. Tastes Like Syrah is 2/3 from the Bridge Pa Triangle with the balance from the Gimblett Gravels. It is 50% whole bunch and (unusually) fermented in open top barrels with 16 months barrel age in 1/3 new oak. It is spicy and sappy with dark cherry and plum fruit.

Te Aro Wine was established in early 2018 with a mission of creating “fun wine, not fine wine” by Robin Groves and Jules van Costello. Working with vineyards in Hawkes Bay and Martinborough, Te Aro Wine has created a range of wines from the 2018 vintage including Sauvignon Blanc, sparkling, Pinot Noir and Rose offerings.
