85% Monastrell and 15% Syrah
Deep ruby red with a hint of purple in the rim. Intense fruity nose with aromas reminiscent of black plums and a rich combination of both black and red cherries. Lovely developed aromas of cappuccino, dark chocolate,and sweet spice. Well structured palate, with fresh fruit, toasty oak, tobacco and a touch of minerality. Finishes full of black fruits, toasted oak, and smooth supple tannins.
Interestingly, the Monastrell plants are grown in a tremendously arid environement with high levels of sun exposure. Moreover, the vines are ungrafted, so they convey remarkably well the soul of its terroir. All of them are certified organic.
Vinified in a traditional manner with indigenous yeasts, the wine was aged in 500-litre French oak barrels for 18 months.
We strongly suggest that you decant this wine for 30 to 60 minutes before you drink it, as the wine needs time to express its full potential.
